Vintage Finland is a continually growing selection of Finnish vintage pieces from my collection of vintage jewellery and other objects. I regularly add new pieces to make sure that there is plenty of variation both in designer and style. I have photographed all the pieces myself and own copyright to the photos. Please let me know if you would like to use any of the photographs and (and in most cases you will simply be asked to mention where you found the image).
Vintage Finland sets out to show a broad selection of pieces that I think represent the glorious design and artistic qualities originating in Finland from the 1960's and 1970’s. Included are fine examples of the work of leading designers, for example: Elis Kauppi (Kupittaan Kulta Oy, Turku), Liisa Vitali (Kultakeskus Oy and N Westerback, Helsinki), Jorma Laine (Turun Hopea Oy, Turku), Pekka Piekäinen (Auran Kultaseppä Oy, Turku), Tapio Wirkkala (Kultakeskus Oy, Helsinki), Björn Weckström (Kruunukoru Oy ja Lapponia Oy, Helsinki), Nanny Still (N Westerback Oy and Kultateollisuus Oy, Helsinki), Erik Granit (Erik Granit Oy, Helsinki), Kaunis Koru Oy, Koruteollisuus ky, Valo-Koru, Timo Sarpaneva (Iittala), Tapio Wirkkala (Kultateollisuus and Iittala), Kaj Franck (Nuutajärvi and Arabia), Ulla Procope (Arabia), Maija Isola and Annika Rimala (Marimekko).
All items are from my personal collection and are not being offered for sale. If you are interested in any of the pieces, however, please do get in touch. I might be able to find you something that may be of interest to you. Please also feel free to contact me if you simply want help in identifying pieces you may already own.
Vintagefinland.com is a portrayal of my own preferences and tastes. It is therefore not presented as an official or definitive catalogue or source of information regarding this era of outstanding Finnish industrial design. My intention and hope is that this site will give enjoyment and inspiration to those who already have a mutual interest or are new to collecting.
